Tis the season for birthdays -- Trooper just had to join in!

On April 5th we celebrated Troop's 2nd birthday! 

He's a big boy now, all grown up, and ready to get to work on his training! While he still has at least another year to grow, he's going to start learning all about the tack -- maybe it's not a Trooper-eating monster after all. :) 

Trooper got a brand new halter for his birthday, and got groomed all over. He's shedding like a crazy pony -- we're thinking he may be a wooly mammoth and not the paint horse he appears. :) 

Troop enjoyed a day of pampering and one-on-one attention from his favorite gal.

Happy Birthday to one of our permanent residents, Fonzi!!! 

Today, April 1st, Fonzi turned 8 years old! He got a brand new halter, a haircut, and his toes trimmed (the last of which he wasn't overly excited about) to celebrate! 

Fonzi enjoyed a day of pampering and loving.

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of one of our permenant residents, Beau. It's never easy to say goodbye -- but especially not to a horse such as him. He was only here for a short while, but in that time he developed a bond with his girl deeper than most humans can ever fathom. He developed ulcers unexpectedly, and lost the battle on Thursday, August 9th, 2012. We made the decision to put him to rest after a week of treatment. He was fighting a losing battle, but he hung on till the very end, amusing us with his antics right up until the last moment. He will be remembered forever, and missed most dearly.
